How to choose a mesh office chair
Why a mesh back?
Mesh lets air through, so your back stays cooler than it would against a padded back on a warm day. Most chairs here pair the mesh back with an upholstered seat; where we have the seat material, it is listed on the product page.
Operator chair or executive chair?
Operator chairs, such as the Start, Versi and Denali Mid-Back, are plain, height-adjustable chairs for a shared office. Manager and executive chairs add a higher back and bigger arms: some of the mesh chairs here are executive styles, and the Denali High-Back and the Victor II have a headrest.
Colour and frame
Some are black, and others come in a choice of colours, including blue, red, green and orange. Some have a white frame instead of black: the Marlos Moon White Frame, the Maldini White Frame and the Tyler.
How many hours a day?
Most mesh chairs here are rated for an 8-hour day. For a chair shared across shifts, the Strata High-Back Task Chair is rated for 24-hour use, and our heavy duty office chairs include more.

Delivery and returns
Standard delivery is free to most UK addresses. The Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland and a short list of other postcodes carry a surcharge, so check our delivery policy before ordering to one of them. A chair marked Next Day Delivery arrives the next working day when it is in stock and you order before the cut-off on its product page.
Home customers can return a chair within 30 days of delivery if it is unused, unassembled and in its original packaging. Check the size and seat height on the product page before you build it. We arrange the collection and the collection charge comes off your refund. Business customers pay a 15% restocking fee plus collection. The full terms are in our returns policy.
A few chairs here are made to order: the TNK 500 and Trim, in 3 to 4 weeks, and the Flick in its non-stock colours, in 7 to 10 days. Check the product page for its lead time, or ask our friendly team before you order. A made-to-order item can be cancelled within 24 hours of ordering; after that it can only be returned if it is faulty or not as described.
