What makes an office chair ergonomic?
An ergonomic chair is one you can set up to fit your body and your desk. Seat height comes first. After that, look at how the back adjusts, how the arms move and whether the tilt tension can be set for your weight. Where we hold the data, the product page lists the seat height range and arm type.
8 hours or 24 hours?
Some of these ergonomic chairs are rated for 24-hour use, including the Call Centre, Vista, Cheetah, Panther and Strata models. These suit a chair that is shared across shifts. The rest are rated for an ordinary working day.
Lumbar support and seat slide
The Calypso Ergo has an inflatable lumbar pump, so you set how firm the support is behind your lower back. The Strata High-Back Task Chair has a seat slide, which moves the seat forward or back to suit the length of your legs.

Delivery and returns
Standard delivery is free to most UK addresses. The Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland and a short list of other postcodes carry a surcharge, so check our delivery policy before ordering to one of them. A chair marked Next Day Delivery arrives the next working day when it is in stock and you order before the cut-off on its product page.
Home customers can return a chair within 30 days of delivery if it is unused, unassembled and in its original packaging. Check the size and seat height on the product page before you build it. We arrange the collection and the collection charge comes off your refund. Business customers pay a 15% restocking fee plus collection. The full terms are in our returns policy.

If you work at the desk most days, a chair you can adjust is worth having at home as much as at work. Check the seat height range against your desk: most desks are 720 to 730mm high.
