Double doors or tambour?
Double door cupboards open wide so you can see every shelf at once, but need room in front for the doors. Tambour cabinets have shutter doors that slide round inside the cabinet, so they suit narrow corridors and spaces next to desks.
What is in the range
The Dams steel contract cupboards come 1000mm, 1806mm or 1968mm high with a three-point lock, a welded body and height adjustable shelves. The Bisley contract cupboards take under-shelf filing on their shelves, and the Bisley Essentials tambours fit A4 binders, lateral and suspension filing. The Workwise steel cupboards are rated for 50kg and have an anti-tilt mechanism, with 2 or 4 shelves depending on height. The Bisley systems tambours arrive fully assembled, with doors that recede into the cabinet.

How delivery and returns work
Most UK postcodes get free standard delivery; the Scottish Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Channel Islands and a short list of other postcodes are charged, and our delivery policy lists them. Next Day Delivery items reach you the next working day if you order before the cut-off, subject to stock.
Larger items travel on a pallet with a tail lift and are delivered to the kerbside, on a level, hard surface. If you want them carried in, choose room of choice delivery, or delivery and installation, at checkout where it is offered: a two-person team brings them to the room, and with installation they also build them and take the packaging away.
Changed your mind? Our returns policy gives you 30 days from delivery to send back anything unused, unassembled and in its original packaging. We collect it, and the collection charge is taken from your refund; business customers pay a 15% restocking fee as well.
Items our team has installed, where the packaging has been removed, can only be returned if they are faulty or not as described.
Prices include VAT, with the price excluding VAT shown as well for businesses that reclaim it.

Do metal office cupboards lock?
Most do. The Dams contract cupboards use a three-point lock, the Bisley Essentials tambours have Lowe and Fletcher locks, and the Bisley contract and Workwise steel cupboards are lockable. For the Bisley systems tambours, check the product page.

What is a tambour cupboard?
A cupboard with flexible shutter doors that slide back into the cabinet instead of swinging open, so it needs no clearance in front.
