What a 24 hour rating means
A 24 hour chair is rated by its maker for continuous use, with different people sitting in it across shifts. That usually means a heavier mechanism, denser foam and a stronger base than an 8-hour task chair. Every chair on this page is rated for 24-hour use in its product details. The Cheetah 24hr and Panther 24hr are tested to BS 5459 Part 2, and the Zeus is certified to EN 5459.
Shared chairs need more adjustment
When several people share a chair, each needs to set it quickly. Look for a seat slide (on the Cheetah, Strata, Vista, Posture Vista and Babylon), adjustable arms, and a lumbar adjustment such as the pump on the Vista and Posture Vista.
Weight ratings
Most chairs here are rated for users up to 152kg (24 stone), the Ergo Tag for 150kg and the Babylon for 110kg. If you need a higher rating, see heavy duty and bariatric chairs.

Delivery and returns
Delivery is free to most UK postcodes. Items marked Next Day Delivery arrive the next working day when you order before the cut-off on the product page, subject to stock and courier availability. There is a charge for the Scottish Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Channel Islands and a short list of other postcodes, so please call us before ordering to one of them.
You can return an item within 30 days of delivery if it is unused, unassembled and in its original packaging. We arrange the collection and the collection charge comes off your refund. Business customers also pay a 15% restocking fee. Our returns policy has the details.
