Choosing a high back chair
A high back chair has a backrest tall enough to reach your shoulders, which helps when you lean back to read or take a call. Several here go further and add a headrest: the Denali High-Back with headrest, the Carlos with a padded headrest, the Tuscan, the Palermo, and the Strata task chair, whose headrest adjusts for height and tilt.
Mesh, fabric or leather
Mesh backs, on the Denali, Carlos, Tuscan and Strata, let air through on a warm day. Fabric, on the Calypso II and Posture Vista, is the everyday office choice. Leather and faux leather, on the Dawn, Florence, Noble and Palermo, suit a manager's office and wipe clean.
Hours and weight
Check two figures on the product page. The Denali and Carlos are rated for up to 8 hours a day and users up to 115kg. The Strata High Back 24 Hour chair is rated for 24-hour use by users up to 152kg (24 stone). For long shifts, see 24 hour office chairs.

Some do. The Denali High-Back, Carlos, Tuscan, Palermo and Strata task chair have one; the others have a tall back without a separate headrest.
How long can I sit in a high back chair each day?
It depends on the chair's rating: most here are rated for up to 8 hours, and the Strata High Back 24 Hour for round-the-clock use. The rating is on each product page.
What weight do high back chairs take?
Between 110kg and 152kg on the chairs that state it. The Strata High Back 24 Hour is rated for users up to 152kg.
Can I return a chair if it does not suit me?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, if it is unused, unassembled and in its original packaging. Check the seat height and sizes on the product page before you build it.
